Shalom,

Kol haKfar, the downtown egal minyan, gathers this Friday night at Leora's elegant loft in the Flatiron District. Please bring tasty vegetarian vittles (or wine, or both) to share, and we'll have a festive Shabbat davening session and community meal. As always, please bring friends. Speaking of friends, we've slightly amended our RSVP policy. There's no need to RSVP and you are always encouraged to show up at the last minute, but we do also appreciate it when people indicate on our spreadsheet what you're bringing. This is a huge help to our very generous and hard working hosts. Spreadsheet: http://bit.ly/hwR5sg

In other news, Mechon Hadar, the newish yeshiva uptown, is running a course for those who would like to learn to lead prayer services. From December 24-27, they will be offering a Nusach and Nigun Intensive. It's for lay leaders who occasionally lead services to improve their skills, gain confidence, and learn new tunes. They've reached out to us because we are a model lay-led community. Please contact wichmann@mechonhadar.org for more info. This is a great opportunity for people!

See you this Friday,

Zachary from KhK
