Kol haKfar, the downtown egalitarian minyan, meets this Friday night, October 20th, at 7pm to celebrate Shabbat. Please bring friends, siddurim and your own personal cache of kavana to:

The fund-raiser has been very successful but there are many, many minyan loyalists who haven't sent in a contribution. Please use paypal (email kolhakfar@yahoo.com for info) or snail mail -- Zachary Thacher, 41 Grove St 4B, NY, NY 10014 -- to help develop the minyan.

Thus far we've been able to pay off our limited web-hosting services fee, and to make an initial buy of adwords over the Google network. Next we'll buy a few compact siddurim (any suggestions?) and create more marketing materials to reach a greater downtown audience.

In other news, now that Daniel Neiden has his own Torah (and, ahem, brownstone) we may organize a Saturday service with a lunch if people are interested. Please email us if you'd like to lend a hand.
