Kol haKfar -- Voice of the Village

Welcome to Kol haKfar -- the voice of the Village. We're a traditional, egalitarian (and Jewish!) minyan that gathers on the first and third Friday of every month for Shabbat prayers and a kiddush. We meet in member's apartments in downtown Manhattan. Our kiddushes are rad.

Our community of people from all over come from a diverse background of affiliations, practices and in all sizes, shapes and colors. People converting to Judaism or who want to bring non-Jewish partners are very welcome. We also like hipsters.

We pray only in Hebrew, and we encourage people to bring a siddur they feel comfortable with, as long as it's Art Scroll. That's a joke. Sort of.
