Feb 16th egal davening at 6pm

Chaverim,

The downtown egal minyan continues to grow and expand! Zachary has been meeting with the new generation of young Orthodox rabbis across the Village and developing ideas for hosting a few shared events to further unite the downtown Jewish community. If you are interested in participating in any of these events -- everything is now solidly in the planning stage -- please email us. The first event will be a Purim party at the Community Synagogue on E. 6th street between 1st and 2nd Aves. The second may involve a Tikvat Yisrael-styled separate davening and then combined dinner. Stay tuned for more information.

In more immediate news, Kol haKfar meets again this Friday February 16th at Paul Fischer's lovely abode at 6pm. Please bring a siddur and two or more friends. Why? Because it's all about the big entrance. Roll deep. There will be valet parking for your Escalades. You just can't drive home because it's Shabbat. This joke is going nowhere, so we'll remind you where to be this Friday. At 6pm. That's one hour before 7pm.

Oh, before I forget: we need someone to host the kiddush at Paul's place, which involves procuring a few good bottles of kosher wine and a few kosher snacks. Two kiddushers are better than one. Please let me know who will have the honor for this week.

Paul Fischer's apartment: 9 Barrow Street, 5F (between West 4th and 7th Avenue) 6pm

See you Friday,

KhK
