June 4th gathering

Hey friends,

Happy American Yom haZikaron. Kol haKfar, the downtown egal minyan, meets this Friday night to celebrate Shabbat and to enjoy a community meal. It's almost the birthday of yours truly, so my parents will be kicking in some funds to make for a tasty main course. That said, we'll have a lot of people so please do bring a vegetarian dairy item or beverage to share. Hekshers, like RSVPs, are not required.

Also, this week, the lovely Baylene Wacks is promoting an event where the extremely intelligent and wise Dan Senor will be giving a lecture on Wednesday, June 2, about the Middle East. Something tells me Gaza will come up more than once.
